Columbia Neurosurgery Medical Student Presents AANS Medical Fellowship Work

Second-year medical student Teresa Wojtasiewicz presented her paper, Neural Proliferation of Bone Marrow- Derived Cells in a Murine Model of Intracerebral Hemorrhage at AANS, which was a result of the AANS Medical Student Summer Research Fellowship she was awarded.  The paper is co-authored by Columbia Neurosurgery Cerebrovascular Research Laboratory Director, E. Sander Connolly Jr, and residents Christopher Kellner, M.D. and Raqeeb Haque, M.D. Since May 2009, Wojtasiewicz has been working in Columbia’s Cerebrovascular Lab, under the direction of E. Sander Connolly Jr., MD. and was awarded the AANS Medical Student Summer Research Fellowship to support this work.
