Resident Wins Two-Year Janssen Fellowship

We are proud to announce that our resident neurosurgeon Chuck Mikell, MD has been deemed an outstanding young physician-investigator and awarded the Paul Janssen Fellowship.

This fellowship will last two years, during which time Mikell says he, “plans to study dopamine neurons in awake patients undergoing surgery for Parkinson’s Disease.  This will be part of a larger project to develop a novel neurosurgical therapy for schizophrenia.”

Congratulations Dr. Mikell!
