Dr. Philip Meyers & Dr. Sean Lavine from the Cerebrovascular and Endovascular Centers each gave a talk this week at the Brain Attack & Cerebrovascular Disease Update 2011.
They both addressed the topic of Carotid Stenosis, also called Carotid Occlusive Disease, with Meyers focusing on, Intra-Arterial interventions in Acute Stroke and Lavine on, Stent vs Surgery vs Best Medical Therapy. The Columbia event was held at Rockefeller University in New York City.
This conference was geared toward Stroke professionals and reviewed, “the latest approaches to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of stroke and cerebrovascular disease focusing on controversial topics in the diagnosis and management of stroke.”
