Dr. Robert Solomon Honored at 2012 AANS with Donaghy Lecture

Dr. Robert Solomon, Department Chair and neurosurgeon at the Cerebrovascular Center, had the honor of giving the Donaghy Lecture at this year’s scientific meeting of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) held in Miami last week.

Dr. Solomon was given a charming introduction by Dr. E. Sander Connolly, who also presented him with a commemorative plaque.

Dr. Solomon’s Donaghy Lecture, entitled Patient-Centered Approach to Cerebrovascular Disease: Research and Critical Care, was received with great interest.

Dr. Solomon was also the discussant for the paper Risk of Hemorrhage From “De Novo” Cerebral Aneurysms, presented during a Cerebrovascular Scientific Session.

Dr. Solomon also had the unique experience of meeting a Capuchin monkey named Byron at Jungle Island where the Conference’s Opening Reception was held.
