Columbia Neurosurgery Brings the Best Neurosurgical Care to Bronxville

Patients in Westchester County now have cutting-edge neurosurgical care on their doorstep. Columbia University Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Neurosurgery Department Chair, Dr. Robert Solomon is pleased to announce that our new office is open for patient appointments in Bronxville at 12 Studio Arcade, Bronxville, NY 10708; right across the street from Lawrence Hospital. The same expert neurosurgical care available in NYC is available to patients in Bronxville, Yonkers, Eastchester, Mount Vernon and lower Westchester County.

Three of our best Columbia neurosurgeons will have regular office appointments in our new Bronxville office, including Dr. Marc Otten, Dr. Peter Angevine, and Dr. Guy McKhann.

Dr. Otten, part of the Brain Tumor Center and Pituitary Tumor Center at Columbia University Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, specializes in tumors of the brain, skull base tumors, pituitary tumors, Chiari malformation, trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm. He also treats hydrocephalus.

Dr. Guy McKhann is the Columbia Neurosurgery Director of Epilepsy and Movement Disorder Surgery, Director of Adult Hydrocephalus, and Director of Awake Brain Mapping for Tumors and Epilepsy. He specializes in working with multidisciplinary teams to treat patients with a variety of different conditions, including brain tumors, epilepsy, movement disorders and adult hydrocephalus. Dr. McKhann’s treatment expertise includes awake brain mapping, minimally-invasive microneurosurgery, Gamma Knife radiosurgery, and deep brain stimulation.

Dr. Peter Angevine brings a unique combination of expertise with him to our new Bronxville office. After completing his residency in neurological surgery at the Neurological Institute of New York, Dr. Angevine completed a prestigious fellowship in spine surgery at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis. He specializes in adult and pediatric spinal deformities, neuromuscular spinal deformities, complex spinal surgery, scoliosis and sagittal imbalance.

The launch of this new neurosurgery office follows closely after the opening of the advanced Cancer Care Center at NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital. The combination of the two means that patients in the Bronxville and Westchester area have complete comprehensive care for brain and spine tumors all in one place, without having to travel for care.

The Columbia Neurosurgery new office is located at 12 Studio Arcade, Bronxville, NY 10708.
