Dr. Neil Feldstein’s Patient Grace in Yankees News

As featured in Yankees News, Grace adopted by Vassar Lacrosse TeamIt’s been a great summer for ten-year-old Grace Leva, a patient of pediatric neurosurgeon Dr. Neil Feldstein: not only was she adopted by the Vassar Women’s Lacrosse Team, she also got to be on TV.

Grace was paired with the Vassar lacrosse team through the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation (FoJ).

FoJ pairs up children and their families battling pediatric brain tumors with college and high school sports teams. The teams give these children love, support and friendship as they fight this devastating disease. We celebrate each day by creating lasting relationships between student athletes, the child, and their families. This greatly improves the quality of life for children with brain tumors, as well as those who support them.-– Friends of Jaclyn Foundation

It also just so happened that last month the New York Yankees chose to highlight the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation during their annual HOPE Week, and Grace got to be a part of that too. Grace and her family were featured in a news clip that aired on the Yankees Yes Network.

Watch the clip here and see just how well Dr. Feldstein’s patient is doing today, despite battling a brain tumor. Grace gets right on the field with the Vassar Team and holds her own.

The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation is a wonderful program and they couldn’t have adopted a more deserving girl. Way to go Grace!
