Dr. Jeffrey Bruce, Co-Director of the Brain Tumor Center, had the honor of giving the Ronald L. Bittner Lecture at the annual meeting of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) this year.
He presented the Bittner Lecture, Will There Ever be a Cure for Glioblastoma?: The Audacity of Hope, to a packed house (photo at right).
He was a Discussant during a Scientific Session regarding the recent research: IDH1 Status Determines the Survival Benefit of Surgical Resection for Malignant Astrocytomas.
Dr. Bruce was also the co-author of a paper, A Phase 2 Multicenter Trial of Autologous Heat Shock Protein- peptide Vaccine (HSPPC-96) for Recurrent Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM), presented at one of the meeting’s Plenary Sessions.
