Another Successful Columbia Neurosurgery Residents’ Retreat

Columbia Neurosurgery 2014 Resident Retreat in MontaukEvery year on Memorial Day weekend, Dr. Jeffrey Bruce, head of neurosurgery resident education, organizes an annual retreat for the neurosurgical residents of Columbia University.

“The retreat is designed to discuss how the neurosurgery service works and how to provide the best care to patients,” said Dr. Bruce. “We also discuss career planning and ways to improve resident education.”

This year, the retreat took place in Montauk, New York, and it was a huge success. Dr. Bruce was joined by attending pediatric neurosurgeon, Dr. Neil Feldstein.

In addition to the brass tacks of night call schedules and morning rounds, they all had a little fun in the sun. It was Montauk, after all.
