Dr. Jeffrey Bruce Esteemed Panelist at Another Free CancerCare Teleconference
Dr. Jeffrey N. Bruce from the Brain Tumor Center has once again taken part in a free online teleconference with CancerCare, a national non-profit organization that provides support services to all those affected by cancer.
This course, offered through their Connect® Education Workshop Program on May 23rd, was titled, Update of Glioblastoma and Dr. Bruce was one of four esteemed panelists. He headed the discussion with a lecture that included an overview of glioblastoma, current standards of care, and novel treatment approaches. The program was concluded with a lengthy Q & A session.
Dr. Bruce has volunteered as a featured expert for CancerCare’s workshops for over 15 years, touching the lives of thousands of CancerCare clients and health care professionals. In 2010 he received CancerCare’s Physician of the Year award.
This latest teleconference included over 700 participants including, people living with glioblastoma, their families, partners, caregivers, friends and loved ones as well as health care professionals.
This June, Dr. Bruce will also be one of a panel of experts for CancerCare’s teleconference, Highlights from the 2013 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting: Part I of Your Guide to the Latest Cancer Research and Treatments.
