Dr. Peter Angevine Lectures at AANS Spinal Deformity Course
Dr. Peter D. Angevine from the Spine Center was in Baltimore, Maryland last month teaching at a Spinal Deformity Course for Neurosurgical Residents. The course was sponsored by the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS).
“This is the sixth year I’ve taught at the course (and the 6th year the course has existed),” says Dr. Angevine. “Residents and faculty come from all over the U.S.“
As a neurosurgeon, Dr. Angevine has a unique background; he completed both neurosurgical residency training and an orthopaedic surgery fellowship. He now specializes in the evaluation and treatment of spinal deformities in adults and children.
At the AANS course, Dr. Angevine gave lectures on the Principles of Global Spinal Alignment; Posterior Spinal Deformity Surgery; and Adolescent Deformity Surgery. He was able to reinforce these concepts in a hands-on lab session as well.Posted on Apr 17, 2013 by Department Author
