Announcing Dr. Jeffrey Bruce’s Clinical Trials Webinar
This webinar is part of a free web-based educational series offered by the ABTA on topics of interest to brain tumor patients, families, and health care professionals. These hour-long webinars are recorded and then posted to ABTA’s Anytime Learning section of their website for later viewing.
In Dr. Bruce’s upcoming webinar he will be providing a general overview of the clinical trial process including its phases, facts, risks and more. The course will conclude with a Q & A session.
A clinical trial is a research study done to determine the safety and effectiveness of a specific treatment such as a new drug or medical device. This process helps scientists like Dr. Bruce learn more about various medical conditions and is integral to the process of FDA product approval.
As Director of the Bartoli Brain Tumor Research Laboratory and Co-Director of the Brain Tumor Center, Dr. Bruce is uniquely qualified to speak on this subject. He has a long commitment to the research process and is currently leading an NIH-funded translational brain tumor study with a focus on immunotherapy and drug delivery systems.
